First Knot of the Millennium

Tony Fisher made a proposal in KM (Knotting Matters) 57 that every member should tie a Turks Head as the first not of the new Millennium.  This suggestion has been adopted to signal the start of our Knot Year 2002 effort.

We would like GUILD members, where ever they are to tie a first knot at Millennium sunrise,, then to send us a postcard with a few details. We will acknowledge this with a Guild certificate. The postcard will be displayed at Birthday celebrations.  Tony suggested that everyone type the same knot, but we feel that the choice of not should be yours.

If we can receive postcards from all over the knotting world,  this would make a splendid demonstration of the global nature of the membership to display at our 20th birthday celebrations.
