Last weekend the IGKT – Solent Branch had a stall at the Armed Forces Day in Portsmouth Dockyard.

I have to say that it was a very enjoyable event. It was a glorious day and there were a lot of attractions to see, of course the best attraction was the Knot Tyers stall! It was a good family day out; as Royal Navy ships were open to visitors; HMS Victory was the centre piece; with lots of other side shows going on.

The IGKT – Solent stall was well visited, with people of all age groups were interested in tying knots, from practical knots to decorative knots. Bob Pearce spent the day giving knotting demonstrations, from tying shoe laces, to trick knots.
