How to Make a Rope Mat

Of all the different Rope Mats that you can make, this particular rope mat is probably the easiest of to make. Although this is not the most symmetrical of all the rope mats, it is nonetheless a very pleasing mat to make. Obviously, depending on what size rope or cordage you use, also the number of passes will determine the size of the rope mat. So if you want to make a small coaster for your coffee cup, or a large mat for your doorstep, then choose the size of the rope accordingly.
