Broach Loop Knot
How to Tie the Broach Loop Knot
In this video I demonstrate how to tie the broach loop knot. This particular knot is a decorative way of tying a loop knot into the end of a piece of Paracord. The broach loop knot can be finished by cutting the working end just above where it comes out of its final tuck. That end could then be tucked under the loop above it. I personally would then lock this in place by dipping the knot into the Finishing Solution. This not only protects the work from dirt and grime, but it should also prevent the knot form coming undone.
I thought I would experiment to see what the Broach Loop Knot looked like in the end of a hefty piece of rope. I am not sure that it would make a practical loop knot, as it is not as easy to tie as other loop knots. So maybe this knot should continue to be used in smaller diameter ropes.
