Sailor’s Knife Lanyard Knot
Sailor’s Knife Lanyard Knot or Bosun’s Whistle (Pipe or Call) Lanyard Knot
For those of you who have been following my work for some time, will say that I have already done the Bosun’s Whistle Knot. I recently looked at that video and thought how horrible it is. So I decided to redo that video and hopefully improve the viewers experience. Also as a final little note, yes in Ashley’s it is call the Bosun’s Whistle Lanyard Knot, but all sailors will know it as a Bosun’s Call or Pipe.
The Bosun’s Lanyard Knot is relatively easy to tie, especially if only making a single version of the knot. However, once the single version has been tied successfully, it is not too difficult to go on and tie the double version of the Sailors Knife Lanyard knot.
I personally like this particular knot on my knife lanyard when tied in a combination of the 2 Bight Turks Head and then finished with the Bosun’s Whistle Lanyard.
