Knowledge of Different Knots Can be Extremely Useful
Having some knowledge of different knots can be extremely useful in many different situations. Whether you’re a sailor, fisherman, or camper, knowing different knots can make all the difference. For instance, if you are camping, being able to tie the right secure knot keep your tent securely fastened to the ground. In addition, if you are sailing, knowing how to tie a proper knot can help when you’re trying to secure something to the boat. Knowing different knots can even come in handy in everyday tasks such as tying a shoe or a gift package. Having knowledge of different knots can be beneficial in many different situations and can make life a lot easier.
Just Start Off by Just Learning a Couple of Knots
There are a lot of knots in the photo above, all you need to do is select a couple at a time. Practice them and then learn a couple more. I personally would suggest that the first two knots that may be the most use to you are; the Bowline Knot as this will give you a fixed loop knot, then perhaps the Evenk Hitch to give you a noose knot. Two very useful knots to start with.
